What words is your current book overusing?

Even the best authors seem to find a word or two and repeat it at every possible opportunity. What's currently bugging you?

I caught up on Unbound (love it) and every deep/loud sound is "stentorian". Now I'm reading Bastion (er... Immortal Souls?) and every dark shadowy thing is "adumbrated".
