[ONLINE] [5e] [12:00 EST] [homebrew-heavy] ["No Risk, No Glory: Twilight Heist"]
(thank you for everyone that applied!!! I'm sorry I can't get back to everyone, but I'll try!)
Hey everyone. 5-year online DM from Brazil here, you can call me Victor or Zen. I hope I'm doing this correctly.
Story: In a city where the clash of spells and the roar of gunfire echo through cobblestone streets, the once-mighty Smoke and Starlight gang lies in shambles. Its former glory, whispered in bars and shadowed alleys, is now a faint memory. But a group of audacious thieves (you guys!) refuses to let it fade into history. They aim to rebuild their gang and carve out their legacy in a world teetering between medieval tradition and the 80s crime wave. HOWEVER! From charming civilians and outsmarting fellow criminals to infiltrating the police force and evading a relentless private investigator obsessed with justice—one who harbors a personal grudge against one of your own—the stakes couldn’t be higher. Why? As you battle your way through heists of all kinds, you'll uncover a deeper conspiracy—one that threatens not just your little criminal world, but the whole world.
The Game:
- Looking for up to 3 players, with beginners welcome.
- Saturdays, 12:00 EST.
- Lots of music included!
- about a 75/25 Split for Roleplay to Combat.
- A somewhat linear story, Ending way after level 20, meaning you'll get to enjoy being level 20 for more than 10 seconds once reaching it.
- (Rarely) using Owlbear Rodeo. Most of combat will be theather of the mind, with rough estimates in distance, usually leaning towards the player.
- A modern Middle-ground of a High and Low Magic Setting. Magic is forbidden, casters have been exiled or executed, but given the means, you can still find ways to learn magic.
Notes...?:
-LGBT+ / Neurodivergent friendly group! I, myself, have aspergers. I've even had blind players before, so I believe I can adapt to whatever disability you may have.
-This is a heavily-homebrewed campaign, so beware of balancing. I often tend to "overprepare" the players in comparison to NPCs and enemies, but rest assured, the difficulty will still be balanced, even if the numbers seem like they aren't.
-There will be no explicit scenes whatsoever, and that's final. However, some of my previous players developed amazing storylines with romance included with other players and occasionally with NPCs, so I generally tend to lean towards allowing such things if all players are comfortable with it.
-Newbies accepted!
