How to get my leo used to handling again?

I had to give up my leo because I had to move. My nephew (16 at the time) took care of him for me but recently couldn't because he's been in and out of the house too much and doesn't have time so I got him back since we have moved again and i can have where I am. My nephew used to handle him a lot and then stopped a few months ago. His sister has tried and I was told (after I got him back) that she has dropped him and that she tried again and he's bit her twice. Since I've had him he's very shy. I had to take out everything and clean everything from his enclosure he wouldn't leave his hide so I moved the hide to a box until I finished cleaning. He only comes out for food now and then hides and the only time I was able to try and hold him he jumped and ran and I don't want to continue to scare him or make him drop his tail. I also didn't come from behind or anything he was close to a corner and I put my hand out and slowly brought it closer he didn't move until I had Just barely touched his leg and he jumped before running and hiding. I waited about a week after I cleaned everything when I did that. It's been almost 3 weeks since I've had him back and 2 weeks since my last attempt to pick him up. I’ve just been letting him stay hidden but I really miss interacting with him and would love to get him out to explore. These are his baby pics I haven't taken any new ones since he's been so skittish. Also if you know his morph I would appreciate you letting me know. I can't remember what I was told he was.
