Engine blew up 6 months/~4k miles after buying car
I reside in Washington State if this helps.
I bought a 2015 Kia Optima with a 3rd party warranty. They told me this warranty would cover big repairs like engines or transmissions. This was only said, bot written down. But I bought it from a big dealership in my county. It had, I believe, 112k miles when I bought it in roughly June time. Last month, on my way to work, the engine lost power and I was on the side of the road. Got it to a mechanic and they told me that the engine blew. I told them about the warranty I purchased with the car. A weekish later, they call me and tell me my warranty doesn’t cover engines and that it only covers electronics and stuff of the same sort. Do I have any options? I heard that I can contact the Better Business Bureau, or something of the sort, but I want some others opinions.
