First time knitting in the round and ended up flipping my piece/knitting backwards

I'm relatively new to knitting and this is my first project knitting in the round. I'm working on a hat and am doing a k1 p1 ribbing. Somehow in the middle of a round, I must have set it down and, when I picked it up, flipped it and started knitting in the wrong direction. Now I have half of my piece that's longer than the other. I didn't notice until I "finished" the round, so there's that, but I'm not sure how to fix it, or even if it's early enough in the piece that it's worth fixing rather than frogging and starting over.
