Why 32GB System Memory For 4K on KC2?

I noticed the specs for Kingdom Come 2 state 1080p needs 16GB. However, 1440p and 4K requires 32GB of system memory. Why is this? I can see it needing more video memory. Why the need for more system memory? I thought just gameplay stuff got loaded into system memory and graphics would get pushed onto video card memory.
