Does kindle help you save money on books?

So recently I’ve finally switched over to e-readers. Because I’ve spend over 2,000 on physical books this year (not including audible). Do you guys find yourself spending the same amount for your e reader or are you saving money?? I am aware of Libby but personally if I really like a book or series I want to own it..
