From laid off to landing a better job with a headhunting firm
I wanted to share my experience in the hopes it might help some of you. I was working at a large corporation for 5 years, with promises of a promotion to lead the project management team. I put in countless hours and built some great connections. But then, out of nowhere, the company announced huge layoffs. Despite all the assurances, I was one of the people let go.
After three months of being unemployed and feeling pretty lost, a friend suggested I try a reverse recruitment/headhunter service she’d heard good things about. I think this type of service is becoming more popular because of how bad the job market is. I was hesitant but figured I didn’t have much to lose.
They delivered. In the first month, I interviewed with 12 different companies.
On my 9th interview, I finally landed an amazing offer. I’m now the Head of Project Management at a tech startup in Austin, and it’s been an incredible fit.
If you’re struggling with your job search, give a reverse recruitment service a shot. It could be the boost you need.
Hang in there, everyone!
Update: The firm I used is called HeadHunterAI, their website is www.myheadhunter.ai
To the person in here that showed me them. TY.
