my boyfriend received this message , is it a scam or is it real?

I'm worried about this, could it be real? I come from another country and I have never been to the doctor here, but my boyfriend received this message saying that someone had reported him for an STD, the message says my boyfriend's full name and the state where we live, I have never been to the doctor here, but I used to have an STD in my previous country (I got treatment and he knows it because I told him) now he is thinking badly, but should I think badly too because the message says that someone just reported it ? I just want to know if this could be true or false 🥲
