Expected post-Auction squads, and a server for all future mock auctions!
About a week ago, I posted here asking for interest in a mock auction, and the response I got was overwhelming. I reached out to a few of the respondants, and we completed our first mock auction yesterday.
Here are the teams we ended up with, would love thoughts on these teams! We judged players on their on-field performance only, and off-field issues (such as Pant/DC) or fitness issues weren't taken into consideration.
As a fan of the team you support, would you be happy with what you got? We also have a few polls to see who has the best team overall, so if you want to come vote, there's a link to the discord down below!!
We're looking to answer:
- Which team has the best playing XI?
- Which of these teams wins the next IPL?
- Which of these is the best 5-year team (till the likely next mega auction)?
Also, given how successful this was, we're planning to have many more auctions going forward, and even have plans for some alternate formats in the future! If you're even slightly interested in participating or watching, join the server.
With the success we had with the first auction, we already have a lot of the lists, sheets and rules in place for a good Season 2! Team assignment is no longer first-come, first-serve, and we'll likely have multi-person teams, so there will be a lot more opportunities to get involved!
