iPad Mini 7 Battery life

Why is my iPad Mini 7’s battery draining every 1–2 minutes? Whether I’m watching a video or simply scrolling, the battery is draining like crazy. Every time I check it, it has dropped a percent or 2.

I just bought it from Best Buy about a week ago. I was hoping it would improve over time, but this is getting out of hand. I only have until Monday to return it.

Is it normal for the iPad Mini’s battery to drain this quickly? Should I return it for an exchange? I’m not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.
