Can I still add apple care?

So I got an iPad mini 7 a few months ago. I was planning on adding apple care to it about a month after I bought it, but I forgot and the 60 days to get apple care added had passed.

Is there a way I can get apple care added to my iPad mini even though the 60 days has passed.

I read somewhere that if you take your device to the Apple Store and have it inspected, they might be willing to add it. However, I’m physically disabled and don’t drive so there’s really no way for me to get to an Apple Store, plus the closest one near me is an hour a way.

Is there a way I could still get Apple care added to my device?
