advice needed and appreciated

i looked horrible in the picture so i covered myself, lol. i got this sectional where the middle two spots (where im sitting) can be pushed up and under the couch. the couch then looks like a normal sectional. I’m having trouble thinking of how to design/decorate everything because of the colors of the floor and the light gray couch, and the tan walls. (I’m in an apartment and don’t want to paint). can anyone give me advice on how to make this look better? i love green, oriental style/antique looking rugs, a sort of rustic vintage look. what color rug would go well with what i have going on, coffee table style suggestions? couch pillow covers to change the color/design?
