Help picking a backsplash

Hi everyone!! Doing a mini update on our home and I need help choosing a backsplash. I think I like the look of matte white subway tiles. I have a sample in 3x12 that I was thinking maybe brick staggered with 1/3 offset? But I really like vertical stacked when I see it online as well. I've attached a picture of the kitchen. The house is still being renovated and the floors aren't done so I attached a picture of a room with the floors done so you can see. And also the countertop.

By the way I would've definitely changed out the cabinets and counters if I could've. Hopefully that can be done in the near future. I think I'll change the pulls to black as well.

I'm open to your ideas, thoughts and suggestions. Trying to make the most of what we have. Thanks!
