Single in my late 20's

Turning 28(M) this year and most of my friends are already in relationships and I have never been in one sadly. It's not that I'm picky, I just don't have the best of luck in these things and dating feels like such a chore for me. It's so hard to find people who share your beliefs and people who have goals in their own lives as well.

I also don't want to be in a relationship out of pressure but things are just so difficult lately but reading posts on this subreddit feels so relieving. My friends support me but they find my reasons of not being in one so hard to understand. I just want to improve myself and get better at things like my career and my hobbies but it does sometimes get lonely but I would rather be single than waste my time with the wrong people.
