Is radio really worth it?

I’m taking a drop year for neet pg, and today my mom was talking with one of her friends who has a family with 5-6 doctors from different specialties. The conversation started casually but eventually shifted to what branch I should choose for PG. In the end, her friend told my mom that if we’re willing to spend for my pg, I should just go for radiology and not overthink it.

I wanted to understand what the hype around radiology is all about. Why does everyone seem to recommend it? She’s a close family friend and gave this advice based on her family’s experience, so I know it’s genuine.

But is radiology truly worth it, especially considering the next 20-30 years with advancements like AI potentially impacting the field?
