Employee reaches out saying they’ve lost everything in a disaster. [USA]

Edit: Thank you! Employee came today. We are reissuing the check lost in the fire. Managers have been contacted to donate if they can. Supervisor was made aware last night as well as leadership. We contacted EAP together today and got a few resources for employee that will be helpful. Hope to gather some money, clothing, etc. within the next few days. Employee is staying with another employee for the next few days (not our doing). Supervisor is looking for housing availability in the community for him. We will most likely help the employee once they find a room to rent. I personally put together a backpack of stuff inside my household to give to the employee today, along with lunch.
