Need some help?

I need help decided how to layout my speakers, my parents changed our living room up and this causes us to go from 7.1 to 5.1 in our living room, my father has given me these two speakers in the mean time, Yamaha ns-e56. Now I need help decided the placement in my room, originally I was going to put these above my head board either side on the wall and get a soundbar, but after reading this sub and seeing how bad sound bars are idk what to do, so the question is how should I arrange it?
