Best 2-3-night backpacking (or regular camping) options within a half day drive of Urbana, IL? [Central IL and surrounding areas] [USA]
Considering as far as the Smokies, but would prefer not to have to drive 8 hours. Southern Illinois and Mark Twain in MO are the other ones on the shortlist right now. Looking to do 5-ish miles a day but flexible.
Do you have any trail suggestions for those 3 spots? Any ideas for other destinations?
