Tinctures to help "knock me out" at night

My root issue is lack of discipline and self-control with getting to sleep. I am seemingly dopamine sensitive, so if I get doing something that release a spert of dopamine (Playing 10-minute Chess games, playing CS2, or working and getting deep down a research rabbit trail), I tend to let myself keep going...

I've always been curious about something that will "knock me out"

I've been doing low dose melatonin (0.3g) which does and has helped my transition process of getting to sleep but sometimes I don't take it.

Ashwagandha seemingly suits my body; but, it's an interesting one... I know it's very 'mixed' in its long-term use and impact, and some of the side effects are concerning... To avoid the risk of those, I just do a very low dose and don't take it every night.... my sleep is A LOT deeper and my dreams are more vivid and memorable.

Is there something that can "knock me out" at night? Or want to transition to bed? I do take Magnesium Glycinate (~200mg elemental) at dinner as well. I'm moderately curious about passionfruit, and a little concerned about the memes of Valerian root 😂

Thoughts?
