Finally got to play animal parade after 12 years.

I didn't have a Wii growing up so I never got to play this game, but I finally downloaded an emulator and a rom and tried it out.

First thoughts, wow the MCs are all cute it was hard to choose between all 4 of them. I really like the art style for this particular game, very stylized and distinct. I hope if they remade it, they still follow the old design. The map is massive!!! Getting from point A to B takes a long time. Especially if you don't have a horse yet. I love that the shops around town actually sell almost all the goods you need, like irl. Instead of you having to tediously grow or make every single thing, part of the game is making and growing your own produce I know but like I like the touch of realism of the economy in the town. I like the story of the bells, it doesn't get that tedious and the harvest sprites have such interesting characters.

All the bachelors and bachelorette are so beautiful I had a hard time choosing who I wanted to marry (ended up with Anissa/Renee on my male MC file) while I'm still choosing between Chase, Gill or Luke on my female MC)

Idk if it's because I'm playing on an emulator but the controls for the tools are annoying AF. I have to precisely target where my tool is hitting or I waste energy. This is so tedious especially if you have a lot of crops to water.

All the wild animals, I want them all to live with me. Especially the mother bear and cub in Garmon mine district.

Overall I really like this game, and it lived up to what my 12 year old self really hyped up in my mind all those years ago.
