Finder slow with SSD & HDD combination

I've a hackintosh running great on Big Sur with 2 SSDs and a 4TB HDD which I use for TM backups. The issue that I have is that when I save a file for example, I have to wait for the 4TB drive to spin up before I can select the file location.

Is there a way to tell finder to not use this drive, except for backups or to remove it from a default list of drives that I save files to? I've a super fast system that's being slowed down in this task with this one slow component.
