Photos locations and deletions?
Hi all,
I am trying to understand how exactly to use the service, and specially across different devices.
Let's say you have 2-3 devices, all logged on with the same account, and with photos being backed up/synched.
From what I understand and have seen so far, is it correct that:
- If I take a picture on one device, the picture will be stored on this device AND it will be uploaded to the cloud.
- The picture will be seen in the GP app on *all* devices, but it will still be stored only on the original device and on the cloud.
- A picture can be deleted from *any* device or from the cloud/web, after which it gets sent to the trash, and if deleted from there it's gone (forever and from ALL devices and the web too).
Are those three statements correct?
- Should you choose to download a picture to a second device (not the one the picture was originally taken on), does anything change? Is it considered the same picture, and deleting on any devices deletes all these (and the new "copy")? (Is there any point in even downloading on another device?
- Is there a way to delete the picture on the original device and NOT have it deleted forever? (i.e. still stay in the cloud, and visible and accessible from all devices?)
Thanks!
