Query about cabs/taxi in south Goa ;Specifically around Palolem.

I’ll be visiting goa this month and looking to hire a cab to visit few places. How much would that cost for a day? I will be staying in south goa and the locations to travel are also in south Goa. Also, is it better to book it in advance or can I just hire it on the spot?
