Why are they like this?

I (24F) got ghosted by a guy (27M) that I had been seeing for 2 months, out of nowhere. Things were going really well and then he just stopped answering one day after a normal conversation. I reached out a few days later saying hi and that I hope he was alright, in a friendly manner. Then when I didn’t get a reply but he was still watching my instagram story, I waited a few more days and texted him again.

I know everyone says not to reach out to a ghoster, especially TWICE, but not doing so in the past, has led me to go absolutely nuts. I did it to stand up for myself and let him know that I’m not cool with that shit. I wasn’t mean in the text but I did let him know that it was unexpected coming from him and that a little honesty would have been nice. He did not reply which is whatever at this point.

I just found it super unexpected because he seemed like a very genuine guy. He would go on these rants about his friends getting into relationships with people who were so immature and how he hated the back and forth. But then he goes and pulls this shit on me HAHA ! Like if you hate immaturity in relationships, at least have the decency to be honest with someone that you’ve been seeing for over two months. It doesn’t even have to an explanation, I know he’s not THAT busy with work, just say “hey can’t see this going any further, wish you the best!” He looks like a hypocrite now.

And then the part that’s had me laughing even harder is that he’s “soft blocked” me on instagram! He blocked me from watching his story! Which was ANOTHER rant he went on about his friends and their girlfriends! One of his friend’s girlfriend soft blocked him and their whole friend group on instagram and he was ranting about how immature and childish that was. But then he went and pulled the same one on me HAHA !

It’s really discouraging to get ghosted especially when the person has seemed so sweet and you’ve gotten such good vibes from them. But oh man, this has been a great laugh, the cherry on top for me!
