Is it fine to jump from Jawbreaker to an insane demon?

So I beat Jawbreaker 2 times in a row as my first hard demon a few days ago and I wanted to jump to an insane demon and decided to jump to plasma pulse (I have never played it before) because I saw a showcase of it and it looked fun. It was also a tier 16 on gddl so I figured it was the right difficulty for a first insane demon. Is it a good jump? If not, are there any other demons I could jump to?
