Geocachers who have over 1,000 finds, but have not hidden a cache, why not?

Geocaching is a community game. In order for us to find caches, others have to hide them. So, for those who have over 1,000 finds, but no hides, why haven't you hidden a cache? No judgment in this question, I'm simply asking to understand. Thanks.

Note: Why 1,000 finds? In my experience, cachers who have over 1,000 finds are fairly active in the hobby.
