Is the game industry in self destruct mode ?

I am seeing the signs of the industry in self destruct mode. In addition to the lay offs and concord and the likes failure due to culture war politics in the industry, studios are now resorting to patent trolling and put each other out of business to rush for the remaining pie available.

It's going to be a rough ride for game developers as the reckoning starts happening and all those responsible for the state of the current industry will be made to pay the price.

Beware of litigations being launched at successful games by failing studios who can't compete.
