Flip6 screen issue

So I bought the Flip6 about two months ago and all had been going great till this morning. Overnight the battery drained and it switched off. When I woke up I quickly put it to charge, switched it on and went back to sleep without waiting for it to fully switch on. An hour later I try opening the phone but the screen is all black. Neither screens work (note: I have a case with hinge protection and the phone has never been dropped). I've also noticed that when I try typing on the main screen, you can clearly hear when the numbers on the lock screen are pressed but it's still all black.

Has anyone had a similar issue and should I just contact Samsung immediately?
