Are all our issues tied to cars?

Here’s what I could think of:

1. Tire particle pollution that is everywhere now
2. Cancer and asthma from CO2 emissions
3. Wars in the Middle East for oil (more people die from cars than have died in those wars)
4. Debt from car loans
5. Depression from being isolated
6. Loneliness from not being able to meet other people easily
7. Higher taxes for building roads (and maintaining them)
8. Higher cost of land from inefficient use of space
9. Higher cost of products from the use of inefficient and expensive semi trucks
10. Noise pollution and hearing loss from constant exposure to loud noises
11. Obesity
