why can sohei get souls from officers

I just feel like this was a massive oversight from the devs which i know wont get fixed, but showing up to a point and seeing a sohei get his last souls from a bot that cannot gb is so frustrating. Like wow this went from a fight I could win to me just not going to the point because I dont wanna get 1 shot.
