Player unhappy with loan, weird manager promise

I know there's a shared belief by many that interactions feel pretty busted, but there's one in particular that is absolutely perplexing.

When one of your forgotten starlets on loan pipes up because he either isn't getting the game time he expects or is being played out of position, you often get the option to have a chat with the manager of whichever club your player is loaned to.

After you discuss the issue and they agree to play your player more often/in the right position you can end the conversation in one of three ways. Not only are these three ways practically the same, two of them are borderline threatening, and have the "promises" icon when you select them. They both read along the lines of "yeah, you better do it, I'll be watching you mate," but one mentions that you'll be checking back in a few weeks or something.

Putting aside how bizarre it would be to end a conversation that way to a colleague/peer, I can't find any evidence of this promise in the game after you've had the conversation. In the promises tab on the home screen there's a drop down box that even includes a separate page for "Other Managers" and it doesn't even appear there. On top of this, literally nothing happens if you don't check to see if the other manager is fulfilling their side of the agreement, nor are there any repercussions/punishments you can dish out.

Just thought it was weird and wanted to share unless I'm missing something obvious.
