Best Method for Legendary Selection - No Box Mods

Hey Guys, im looking to try the cremator out and i wanted to get a good 1 star to use. Seeing as i crafted 3 now and rolled undesirable legendary abilities, do i have to craft and scrap EACH TIME to get the something i want?! i dont think my materials can support that... we used to be able to re-roll legendary abilities on items, but was that removed in the update? any advice would be appreciated. thanks
