Firewood hauling machine
I need to bite the bullet and finally buy either a UTV or compact tractor. I've been thinning woods on my land and need something to haul firewood up hill to my processing area. Last summer I used a friend's UTV, which worked well, but it's no longer available.
A compact tractor would be a better all-around machine for my small farm, but I'm worried it won't be as maneuverable in the woods as a UTV. The UTV works great in the woods, can haul more wood in one trip, and is much cheaper, but is not as adaptable as a tractor
Does anyone use a small tractor with a front loader to haul wood from a forest? Any thoughts on how it performs compared to a UTV?
Edit for detail: the land is only a couple acres, sloped, and wooded.
