Is it possible to padhack a Gamecube Controller
I have a bunch of disassembled crappy third party Gamecube controllers just sitting there in my room (disassembled because i used the only good parts they had to refurbish some og gamecube controllers and wavebirds, the stick caps and buttons on the old hardware are usable again) and wanna know if it’s possible to reuse the gamecube controllers PCBs and actually make one or multiple Sticks with it, be it leverless, lever, both, whatever.
While i don’t know how to solder i‘m not afraid to learn how to, as i‘m aware what i‘m asking pretty much requires it. I‘m also aware that i will lose the pressure sensitivity of the L/R buttons, it will only be a flat button press with Arcade Stick buttons
I have 4 spare pcbs, if this is doable I’d greatly appreciate some advice or guides on how to do it, I really don’t wanna play Soul Calibur and Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the Gamecube controllers, if i wanna use gamecube controllers i have perfectly functional ones still.
