Madcatz Ego + Series X Issue

I’ve tried looking online, but can’t seem to find anything on what I’m dealing with!

I have an ego fight stick and a series x. I’m using a Xbox one controller (series x don’t work with it) to plug into the stick.

After pairing, I’m able to activate the “home” button on both the controller and stick, but none of the other inputs seem to work.

Any advice?
