Subreddit Milestone

First, we just hit 800 members tonight on the march to 1,000, which is sort of rad.

Second, typical shenanigans aside, I think the recent 75 Server emulator thread by u/Ghrahf0085 was a solid stride forward. I was happy to see the subreddit continuing to serve as an outlet for certain discussion beyond just drama. This is a useful role that is not particularly being filled in this same capacity or with the some potential. It was encouraging to see certain posters, who don't typically participate in the subreddit, feel comfortable enough to engage productively. The visible progress—or the promise of it—was a win all around for everyone. Hopefully, this trend continues and builds more structure in the space.

Finally, as a culmination of the work from the individual in this thread. The subreddit and by proxy, all you fine miscreants, bastards, and skanksesque scallywags have now contributed to academia in what could be a published work of "the value private servers provide to the preservation of virtual worlds." Great job, and thanks to the dozen or so individuals who welcomed a stranger interested in the community and then gave their time on top of that.

Which further demonstrates my prior point on discussion beyond drama. As that same thread was locked in "the main subreddit" due to somehow breaking Rule 5, "no server-specific questions" lol.
