1.5 years of solo travel round the world

Hi ladies, I wanted to share my experiences as a female traveler. A few years ago I embarked on a solo round the world trip starting from Russia to Mongolia travelling on the Trans Siberian train all the way to China. From there I spent some time in South East Asia before spending time in South America. I managed to squeeze in some volunteering work and met a ton of amazing people. Whilst I didn’t encounter lots of other solo female travellers, I did meet lots of fellow backpackers and friendly locals on the trip. I would say that I felt safe wherever I went apart from some parts of Colombia that were a bit sketchy and one couch surfing experience that was a bit uncomfortable. I would wholeheartedly recommend travelling as a solo female traveler and explore the world!

Thanks everyone for the comments, I wanted to share more details of the trip seeing as so many people are interested:)

I started planning the trip a couple of years before I actually went on the trip, I brought all my transsiberian train tickets in advance as the connections are really tight. Apart from that I only ever booked the accommodation a few nights in advance of arriving in a new place to keep things flexible. There were many highlights on the trip, one of them being the amazing memories shared with fellow travelers, a special memory that comes to mind was when I volunteered in Nepal we stayed in a mountainous village, one night the group decided to put up a projector in the mountains outside to watch a movie (the ring), I must admit that was probably a once in a lifetime experience! I can honestly say that the trip was probably one of the best things that I ever did, even now I am trying to figure out how I can top that!
