Will joining the union help?

Considering joining the Union with all that’s going on. For anyone who pays union dues, do you feel being a paying member is worth it? Has being a part of the Union helped protect you in anyway before

Update- thanks for all the responses! I joined earlier today. Embarrassed to say I didn’t really know anything about the union and what they do or how they help. I was just trying to get informed because my agency never really discussed it besides briefly at my onboarding. Going to pass this message along to my coworkers as well
