How effective would Fate/Stay Night have been if Nasu released it as a Light Novel instead?

Still containing the three route structure (and some rewrites to incorporate the bad end info to the main story), how effective do you guys think Fate Stay Night would be as a story?

Some massive cons I can think of here-

1. No music
2. No voice acting
3. Illustrations are black and white (goodbye to that epic wide 9 live shot)
4. Lack of Shirou deaths may make the story feel less dangerous for Shirou unless Nasu finds a way to make it feel just as life or death-y

Maybe a pro?

1. The Illya route could maybe exist here because budget won't be as big of an issue (iirc Nasu merged HF into one route because they were running short on budget and time).
