Surah Tahreem commentaries are both absurd

1) First theory states it was because of Zainab got a gift of a pot of delicious honey, gave some to Muhammad, & as a result this made him stay a little longer at her house than usual.

The other wives got upset and starting telling him "you smell like maghafir" (a foul smelling raisin) to stop him from spending so much time with Zainab & so little time with them. Muhammad agrees with their wishes.

Surah tahreem is revealed & tells Muhammad he can do whatever he wants.

Isn't that bloody absurd? It's just honey.

Muhammed is a prophet of God. Doesn't he have important things to do?

Also isnt he the one who said shit like "this worlds pleasures are so mediocre, Jannah is full of better pleasures".

Muhammad was ready to divorce his wives over a pot of honey. And they say islam holds marriage in extreme importance, divorce is disliked by Allah. The prophet of Allah was about to divorce his wives over a trivial incident of honey.

Side note, muslim scholars like to say women can't instantly divorce their husbands, but must ask (Khula), for a divorce from them or an islamic court, because if they had the right to instantly divorce, they'd do it all the time for trivial things. In the US, the divorce rate is 50%, don't imitate the west.

But your prophet was ready to divorce his wives instead of gving up a pot of honey. How trivial & childish.

Btw, this was the theory we were taught at my old Islamic school.

2) Second theory was that Muhammad had sex with his concubine, Maria al Qibtiyya in Hafsa's house, on her day to be with him. Hafsa came home early and caught Muhammad and Maria doing the deed.

Understandably, she's heartbroken & furious. What woman is okay with her man having sex with another woman. In her house. On her day to be with him. ?

Muhammad makes Hafsa swear she won't tell the other wives about what he did. But she tells Aisha anyway. Muhammad finds out she told Aisha.

He is angry as hell. Abstained from his wives for a month, surah Tahreem appears which tells Muhammad to do whatever he likes.

All this because Muhammad's lust is the priority in this religion. ?

Both theories make Muhammad look like a childish prick. Pot of honey, sex with a concubine. He really is prioritizing his desires.
