Why is family so unreasonable 😭

Like is it me or when a muslim leaves Islam, they ABSOLUTELY have to keep it as a secret and eventually try to escape their families. It's like they can't even try to reason with them, share their arguments and feelings with them because they know they will crash out. It will sound pretty obvious yeah but when I think about it I think it's sad. It would be pretty good if we could all reason and talk this out with family, logically and considering feelings but i guess we can't. No matter how much arguments you have they can't understand. That's how religion works i suppose. It's not the case for everyone though. Happy for people whose families have accepted them.
