Do owners think we are wizards?

‘I can’t even get near with a brush’

I usually hear that on collection when I explain fluffy struggled with XY&Z and maybe isn’t perfect due to their behaviour.

If you can’t even brush the dog without it freaking out, then how do you think they’re going to react to someone who’s not their trusted owner trying to brush, use clippers, dryers, bath and perform nail trims.

It’s like asking a barber to shave a child’s hair who won’t allow their parents to brush it. They’ve got the mental age of a toddler, non verbal, and barely understands your language whilst they flail around. That sounds a bit insane to expect a good finish but then add on hair covering 90% of their body and you’re going to be doing their nails too.

Are we just wizards and magicians in disguise?
