Disappointing to interact with fellow digital nomads

I started my digital nomad life at the start of the year and so far i am really enjoying most parts of the experience. Before starting, i always thought that most nomads would be interested to interact with local people, experience the culture, adapt their lives closer to the local way of living etc. After many interactions with other nomads, i noticed that in most cases they acted like they wanted almost no interactions with anything local and essentially trying to live a life that they couldn't afford in their previous permanent city.
What's your view on this? Are you also noticing something similar?
