What makes this team special? No fan favorites. Almost every player is loved by its fans.
It's pretty rare for a team to not have a universal fan favorite. Sure, we have a few under the radar guys like Rodrigo or Skipper who get more love than your typical backup, but I feel our fanbase roots for almost all of our guys just as hard. You see the outpouring of love for Commish, Khalif, Amik, Fox, Reynolds, and so many more. Someone like Jamo would have been vilified by so many other fanbases for his setbacks and taking too long to live up to his draft potential, but he's just another adopted son of Detroit and the faith never wavered.
Honestly, Kindle Vildor is the only guy I can think of that is disliked by fans, but even those feelings don't seem all that strong as I think many recognize his lowlights are more due to being a victim of circumstance.
