Most unique downtown area bar?

Hello fellow Des Moines-ers! So I'm taking a lady out on a 1st date this week. She just relocated here and doesn't know the town. Any favorite, cozy but unique spots you recommend? I was thinking juniper moon, or somewhere in the east village. Going for the best vibe, without it being overly noisy or crowded (if possible). Thanks!

Ps - I know I could Google and read reviews, but I think this DSM thread always has good suggestions, that are actually vouched for.
