Dementia physical aggression: Best plan of action to NOT involve police in Florida?

Hi all - I am seeking advice on best practices (we live in Florida) to help when an 82 year-old with Lewy Body Dementia gets physically aggressive. If at all possible, the ideal situation is to get medical aid immediately, but not the police. TIA for advice on this!
