First time playing

I know I'm a little late, but I finally had the budget to get dark souls 3 and a gaming laptop that will run it. What can I expect? I've played dark souls 1 and 2, sekiro, elden ring(no dlc yet), and most of bloodbourne(PS4 caught on fire due to faulty house wiring). What is similar to what I already know from the other games, what is different?
