What do I do?

You know the bridge in undead burg that has that big red dragon at the end of it and leads to undead parish? Well I got past the dragon and got to the bonfire that,s there, but I’ve noticed there is a a room to the right of the bonfire where there are Hollows praying and there is a broken statue there, there is a message that’s next to the statue that says Need Light. Is anyone able to tell me if there is something that happens and if so, what do I need to do? Thank you.
