Did anyone else think some of V3's trial solutions didn't make sense?

Many of the class trials in V3 really frustrated me. I felt like some of the actions you had to take really didn't make sense. In prior games, I was sometimes frustrated that the game wanted a specific answer because I felt like another piece of evidence contridicated what they were saying as well but I could see what they were trying to have me argue in the end. But V3 just has some nonsense arguments.

For example, In the third trial, you have to argue against someone saying the culprit could have broken into the artist lab with Tsumugi's account saying that Angie only opened the door for Student Council members. At the time, I ended up having to look up the answer because this doesn't really argue against the above possibility at all and there were other combinations that I felt argued the point better. There were some more instances like this in the game but the above is the one I remember the best.

Did anyone else notice this? I almost wondered if the translation was off or something.
